I met a woman who I was very attracted to. I thought that she was making it clear that she wanted to go out with me. A little aggressive almost. She was even making suggestions about nice activities we could do together.
So I followed up with her several times. But each time she had an excuse, although she was very polite about it.
How do you know it was an excuse? Perhaps she is very busy & in high-demand from others.
Since it's very new, she may not have a lot of reason yet to rearrange her schedule, so you may have to work with it.
Without being pouty or anything, just ask her when she is free.
If you're sure she is disinterested now, then it may be she lost interest in whatever contact you've had in the interim (talking on the phone...?), or maybe she's even met someone else or something in her life is demanding her attention right now.

Birds tease man, nothing new. Birds play games man, nothing new.
It sounds like she wants to see how much you're actually into her before she makes her decision on you.
I would have followed it up once or twice and left it at that. No need to exhaust myself several times or more trying to make a connection with a chick who's got a book full of excuses to not want to hang out with you.
You're almost beating a dead horse unless you let her come to you a little too. If she's interested she'll make contact with you rather than continue just wanting to have her ego fed.
