I have heard this saying lately and wondering exactly what it means. I am not married myself, but hust curious of the meaning.

I think its pretty self explanatory. If the wife is happy in the marriage, then its probably has a chance to last. If she's unhappy then you have to either be prepared to live with a constant nag the rest of your life or get a divorce.

Keep your wife happy and she'll keep you happy.

seems self explanatory to me.

When someone is happy, they tend to be more fun to be around and easier to get along with. When someone is unhappy or cranky, they tend to make everyone around them miserable.

(and yes, although this expression is about the wife, it does go both ways)
