My boyfriend carries his dog around all the time. He even has a carry case where he carries her if he needs to. I carry my cat all the time as well. I have a big dog which is too big to carry but last week we went for a walk where we brought both dogs and he carried his almost the entire time.
At my last job, there was a couple what would come into the facility who pushed their dog around in a baby stroller. Nope, there wasn't anything wrong with the dog.
