meaning of this phrase.. (girlfriend, love, husband, friend)

[meaning]

My husband has a habit of saying sweet nothings, I love you's to me in the middle of the night meaning I am half asleep half awake. anyway last night he told me -

I wish I could love you more than I could.

I tried to google it but I don't see any explanation for that phrase. LOL ya. this is a first world problem... and yes English is not my first language.

That or she typed it incorrectly. It means he wishes he could give you the moon the sun and the stars and he can't love you enough.
