Not getting it and thinking it is stupid are two completely different things and if I thought it was stupid the first time, I am going to think it is even more stupid the second time.

Me too. More just not funny than stupid. Mostly because of the repetitiveness.
I don't see what's wrong with a guy being available. I'd consider that a positive thing.
I think there is a tiny minority of women that think that if a man is available, there must be something seriously wrong with him and try to look for men who have already been vetted by other women.
