What percentage of the opposite sex do you think you could potentially really love/marry/be in a LTR with? (long-term, men)

I'll break it down like this.

I'm only talking about American women and the statistics as I have seen them in this country.

Over 2/3 of people are overweight, I'm not going to be with someone that has let themselves go like that. I've eliminated roughly 70% of the population without knowing anything about them. Then I need to be attracted to them, so lets say that's 40% of the remaining fit people are at least somewhat attractive, now we're down to 12% of all women based only on looks.

Fortunately I'm not a stickler for common interests or minutia like that, as long as she's nice and likes me I'll adapt and learn from the things she's interested in. So maybe 1/3 of women have the kind of personality traits I'm looking for with varying degrees of similar interests. Assuming their looks are random in relation to their personality, (realistically they're not as I've noticed overweight people tend to be bitter), then I could see myself dating somewhere around 4-5% of women given the opportunity.

Of that 4% they need to be single, attracted to me, and have similar goals for the relationship before its going to be long term. I have no idea how common that is, I've only had LTR with 2 women out of all the women I've ever interacted with.

Dude, you're at like a fraction of a percent if you've got that specific of criteria and you want her to be attractive.

I have never dated someone who fits my 10 item short list. You can fall in love with someone and not be compatible or be compatible and not be in love, along with any other combination, so on paper its probably 0.1%. In reality everyone compromises and I'm no different so 1% is probably a more realistic %.

Oh my gosh I forgot about the overweight people! I change my percentage to 0.5%.
Meaning: good career, tall, attractive, great shape, intelligent, educated, open-minded, funny, and not a womanizer

It probably hovers around 1%.

There are a lot of cool people out there, but not too many who I wouldn't tire of after awhile.
