Met my husband online - back in the days of AOL his brother responded to my personal and I responded to his ad for a drummer for their band. We all met up at the same time, just goes to show that even the internet can be a small place.

Me too! I thought we may have been the only ones considering some of the profiles I saw on that site.

I get a few looks from attractive guys, but none have struck up a conversation with me. I'm in my early 30s and feeling a little saddened by the fact that I'm not in a relationship. I should add that I would prefer to avoid online dating. I like the idea of meeting a nice guy the old fashioned way.

Needless to say, I haven't had much luck, so I'm interested in knowing where you met your special someone.
I met my BF of 4+ years via POF (online dating service). Pretty much every relationship I have had in the past 9 years has been the result of online dating.

After I split with my ex-husband I spent the next 7 years with my son as my priority - I didn't have the time (or the desire frankly) for men until my son was 12. ( I have not one single regret about that either..I think my time was well spent. ) After he turned 12, I started checking out the local bar scene again, with some girlfriends. Met/dated some interesting men, but nothing that would become really serious. Eventually my main GF and I decided to try match, on a lark. It worked really well for me. I used match, and years later, POF, for all my post-divorce dating years. Great success for me.

Me too, but for the past 23 years.

I never used "dating sites," but I met my late wife and my current wife on sites similar to this one. Seems to have worked well for me. (Maybe not so well for them.)
