Me: Damn, I thought you were single. Why aren't you single?
Girlfriend: *Laughs* Aww. Yeah, I've been with <Boyfriend Name> for 2 years, we just recently got a place together.
Me: That's good! If you ever want to come to my place, I have a big kitchen ready for you.
Boyfriend: Because women love cooking.
Me: Exactly!
Girlfriend: *Pouts*

She got a little upset about this comment and I had to apologize for her not understanding my compliment.
