Have you ever dated someone then parted ways (even moved cities, countries) and dated them again years later?
I know two people briefly dated back in high school. Didn't speak to each other for 6 years (even moved cities) then somehow contacted one another out of the blue and started dating again. They're now married. Apparently they had been thinking about each other all this time even though they dated other people during this 'no contact' time frame. Serendipity ...
I dated a woman I met at a training camp for snowboarding, it was a ton of fun. Meeting other athletes and just having a lot of fun. It was just a 5-6 week fling, but we spent everyday together.
We never really broke up, just moved on. She was from the States and I lived in Canada at the time. A couple texts and phone calls afterwords but it kinda faded away.
I live in Vail now, I seen her name on a facebook post for some event in Breckinridge. I'd really like to contact her again if we cross paths! I'd definitely date her again but who knows how much we've changed in the last 6-7 years. I'm not going out of my way to contact her though, I feel like that would be a little weird.
I pretty much gave up the hardcore partying, I don't really compete anymore. I just ride a lot and work as an engineer. She's the only "relationship" (if you can even call it that) I've ever had. It was really easy to be around her, I could 100% be myself around her, and all those guys at that camp. That's one of the best memories of my life.

Yes, after nearly a decade. I moved to another province, then moved back. It ended again, though. Several years later we are a province apart again but back in touch. Not sure what the future holds if anything.
It happened to me when I got divorced. As soon as my divorce became public knowledge, it seemed like I had exes coming out of the woodwork to reconnect.
In most of the cases there wasn't really any potential, but one of them turned into a great relationship.
Yes.. Regardless of whether things worked out or not, reuniting with someone you once cared for is probably one of the most wonderful feelings in the world.
