What women don't like is when a "nice guy" never makes a move on her. He just hangs back and simps in a cowardly BFF way.
I think the OP meant that phenomenon where guys will pretend to be "nice guys", or they'll advertise that they're "nice guys", when in fact, they're just like the sleazy guys, but with a "nice guy" m.o. They're fake "nice guys".
The reason the PUA thing and the nice guys thing both don't work is that they are both fake.
Be real. If her mind and her friendship interest you even more than her sexual potential, then focus on those. If you are only into her as a potential roll in the hay, make that clear (and learn to tell when a woman is open to that with you, before you start a conversation). Don't pretend you want one thing when really you want another, and don't pretend to be someone you are not.
