So if she's there for him (and it sounds like that will be an extensive amount, sooner or later), but he cannot be there for her - he finds that to be OK?

Sounds like he really needs to drop her, so she can find someone worthy of her. He should be alone, as he has no understanding of relationships. It's a one-way street for him.

Either that or he simply doesn't love her. I can't imagine a person in love kicking up dirt or feeling stretched to the limit because his girlfriend is giving him less attention because she is going through a rough patch and requires more support from him.
