mega-ouch !

May 18, 2014, 1st surgery June 5, 2014, second surgery will be scheduled on November 13, 2014.
Really not a good time for us because we still don't have a driver and the guy we did have (the father of our young friend) hasn't called or stopped by so we really think he is not coming back but we also understand that his son was buried less than 3 weeks ago and it takes time to be ready to get back to day to day living.

I understood how my dogs felt after being neutered.

Because it is getting colder out and your body is requiring more food to keep itself at the proper temperature to protect your innards properly.
Be grateful you are not doing what Walter and the cats are doing right now, growing their additional fur for winter.

I went about an hour ago and picked up Pearl (the 2004 White Suburban) from the shop, I haven't seen the statement for the cost yet.

4 new tires, new brakes on front and back, one of the tire sensors needed replaced, oil change and all fluids checked and filled for winter.

When I get home I should replace the rear brake pads on my pickup.

I have been on amazon looking at Nostalgia products and have found a couple things I would like to have and Mr. CSD would think I am silly but love the items at the same time.
It also give me something to look forward to in the future.
I want a popcorn cart, a hot dog stand complete with umbrella, a frozen drink maker so I can keep iced tea slushies available and maybe a cotton candy maker (this one is doubtful, one can only eat so much cotton candy).

I told him years ago I would like to sell the semi's and buy a food truck (I happen to know where one is for sale right now at a very good price) and get a permit for the food truck and move to an area that has a truck stop where I can also get the permit to operate the food truck.

If I can find a couple drivers we could keep the trucks but I would really prefer to sell all 3 of them and get out of the business completely.

Food trucks are really popular around here. It seems like every single outdoor event has a slew of food trucks.

Hey all! Too much work, too much travel and not enough down time to hang out here. I am mentally and physically exhausted but I finally have a small break in life. I have Tuesday off and I'm considering taking Monday as a "sick" day, but that just creates more work.

Decisions, decisions

I don't like middle of the week days off so I usually worked them just to keep the routine going, the day care cost was the same whether they were there or not.
When we had the day off we usually kept the kids home but sometimes there were other things planned that would be inappropriate to take the kids with. Vehicle repairs/maintenance, doctor/dental appointments for ourselves and that was just to give us a few hours to nap after the appointment if there were any procedures done.

Sixy, where we are going to look at the property would actually be a good place to do this because it has a good size lake and camp grounds about a mile from the property.
