I felt relived after my dad passed. I don't feel guilty about it. He was no longer suffering, and I was, in a way, happy for him. The pain was gone. The sickness was gone. And I was able to say good bye......for now.

yep. ~ always better to talk about it, rather than keeping it in.
You were a young man when you lost your father and more importantly he was a big influence in your life, those things are hard to overcome and while it's painful, you have moved forward and while I don't know your mind, and how you feel, you most certainly seem like a good dude and a have a heart and soul about you and I think your father most certainly would like that, any good man wants his son to move forward and be a good man.........
....thank you, Chow.
(you bastard....kinda made me teary eyed there. lol)
Chow you are so right, as much as we are saddened that our young friend crossed over not that long ago we were happy that he was no longer suffering the pain beyond description from the Cancer and the treatment for it that did no good.
I have a cousin who died much too soon from the effects of diabetes, she was the best of her part of our family and it was terrible seeing her the last time we did. It just wasn't her but what was left of her.
I am glad I went to see my Grandmother right before she crossed over but at the same time I wish I hadn't gone to see her. She looked like my Grandmother but that is all, my Grandmother was gone in mind and soul but her body was still here.
