I'm just wondering if times have changed to the point that it's okay for women to approach a man they do not know to ask them out or to strike up a conversation? Have any of the men on here ever be approached by ladies, and ladies, have you ever approached a guy?
They do actually. I'm a guy, but I observed this girl approach this guy in my math class. She was really coming onto him. They say you can't force a horse to drink, but she was sure guzzling down that...water.
Sure, women can approach now. It's individual. Women could approach men for years now, probably since the 60s. Some men and women however prefer the man approach.
A older gentleman I know, in his 50s I believe. He's been married years now to a pretty, and nice woman. But when he was single, a woman approached and gave her number, and his reply was "What do you want me to do with this?" he then says he doesn't like forward/aggressive women. if he wants a number or a date, he'll ask.
And same for women, some prefer the man to approach, but they'll orbit or give signals that they want to be approached.
Just depends on who you are, and what you're comfortable with, and what works. if you tried orbiting and it's not working, you may need to vocalize and ask the man out, or start the convo.
Yes, I have been approached and had some dates from it. Much much easier especially if you are a shy person like I am. Significantly and quickly eliminated a lot of otherwise wasted dead time as we went out and had fun times rather than playing a silly standoff game for days, weeks, months that ultimately resulted in going out anyway.
No, never. National Geographic did a special on that, and could find no occurrences in nature.

They do, but I wouldn't hold my breath waiting. If you see someone you are attracted to... Bust a move! Rejection won't kill you, won't even make you sick. Good luck!
