Men and women are naturally incompatible as partners. They are just too different. They could really be designated separate species and no one would say otherwise. I don't mean this from a sexual or romantic point of view either. Their drives, what causes them to pursue something, are too dissimilar to establish common goals in a relationship. We are hardwired to view the other sex as something to be used only for the continuation of the species. We will never get this biological predisposition out of our way. It's no surprise that sexism is still a problem affecting both sexes today. Nature has always been split into male and female, but we think we can just treat everyone as "people".
We envision the perfect relationship as one with constant harmony and love, but this is close to impossible considering it serving no biological role.

Separate species? Uh, no. We mate and produce fertile offspring, which is pretty much the definition of being the same species. But I hear what you're saying. Sometimes my man drives me nuts too.

And yet...so many couples manage to do just fine.

Brilliant, OP. Speak for yourself.

And fyi, bonding ("love") helps perpetuate the species by keeping the father around to protect and feed his offspring and their mother. Sorry to spoil your little equation.

I wouldn't say that. Me and my mom get along fine.

BTW, TommyFL is a juvenile living with a parent who has made mentally disruptive remarks. PLEASE go easy on him.

One of the saddest things in the world is when someone willingly deludes themselves because they can't get what they want.
