My girl and I have a debate. How many people think that it is not unusual for married couples to still live together while going through a divorce strictly for financial and living arrangements? Or how many people on here are in that situation?

Some states USED to require that the couple be physically separated for a period of time (6 months seems to stick in my head) before the divorce becoming finalized. Do not know if that is the requirement anywhere anymore or not. Am NOT in that situation, NEVER have been....sorry.

It's becoming more and more common with the cost of living. I know a lot of people who have done it. If there's kids involved I actually think as long as the couple can be amicable, it makes things easier on the kids.

In North Carolina, you have to be separated for a year and can not be in a serious relationship during that year...SMH...
