depends on the country. Many of them definitely don't have anything like American dating esp. in terms of seeing multiple people at the same time.

There is no one "America" either. So Cal is completely different than Texas, and both are completely different than that east of the Mississippi.

There certainly are regional differences in the US...but we are still one country and will have some general things in common for the most part.

Europe is many countries, many cultures, many different laws.....Dating in Portugal is vastly different than dating in Denmark.

Dating in California isn't all that much different than dating in Texas...the location for dates will be different....but the rest will be darn closr.

There are country forums where you can ask these things, you know. The various Swedish forums say there is no such thing as dating in Sweden, except maybe online dating. Conventional dating is very passé and not even old-fashioned, but downright archaic in Scandinavia. Your mileage will vary by country in Europe, as others have pointed out.

North America? Or just the Americas?

Another poorly worded post without any real reason as to why they want to know from the Professional.

We do not have dating here in Finland. You are either friends or you are in a relationship. Simple. And not so much rules and stuff.

I don't know if this is correct since I've only read some things on forums. One difference could be that people in the US sometimes need to have an exclusivity talk and until then they might be seeing more people, and in Europe, at least in most parts of Europe, it goes without saying that when you start seeing someone, you aren't going to see someone else, even if you've only just started going out with that person and nothing is defined yet.
