When I was on it maybe 3 years ago it was $14.99 a month.
I renewed it for a couple months late last year and it was $19.99 a month.
The A-list put me ahead of non paying members, I also saw who viewed me even if they had their privacy setting to secret browsing... This helped when it came to messaging someone.
There was other features that were ok but I cant remember at this point.
Never had to pay to see a profile when I was NON-paying.
well match is going public. so i would not be surprised if they are about to make their S1 look more attractive.
Interesting. That is definitely stock I won't be buying! I figured if anything, Match is going dormant and they are transitioning OKC to a paid site while it's still popular as they are both owned by the same company.
The site is free to browse, you only have to register. You must upload a pic, to view other profile pics (its only fair).
The basic free profile has a cap of 500 msgs (incoming and outgoing). It you msg someone whose inbox is FULL, it will prompt you to pay $1 to force your msg IN. You can hit Cancel to decline. And popular gals should "select all and delete" periodically if they are NEVER going to reply to some msgs/profiles. As a man, I dont have more than 10 msgs in my inbox.
If you pay $14.99/mo for an A-List membership, it has many features like "browse Invisible" like a ninja, so Fuglys cant tell if you clicked on them. And you get 5000 msg cap.

I'm wondering if they will start to take the match approach and try to bait guys into paying up with phoney members (trolls = one pic profiles with broad preference ranges usually) winking and whatnot. Like you mention, I imagine most guys barely have use for an inbox and the desirable women won't have room in the inbox short of the occasional mass delete.
I signed up a few weeks ago (nothing on profile aside from a meme for a pic) and the pickings were slim around downtown Houston (lots of livestock plus the usual "If you are (not) a _____, don't message me!" types, so I won't be using up that 500 message cap, either, if I even keep the profile (doubtful).

I can tell when a profile is fake on a pay dating site because it has no photo and the site makes it seem like you are getting messages.
