Depends on why he lives with his parents and how long he plans to live with them. If he just finished college and is trying to pay off debt or save to buy sth of his own, then I think he'd be smart to live with his parents for a little while. However , if that takes years and he's not making concrete steps to move out, that's a red flag. Mommy boys are a no-no for me.
So youre looking only for "an elevated class of women" who are and, assumingly historically, have been "independent and successful," who will date a 26 year old without a high school education, who is a felon, has a history of dealing drugs and gang relations, who lives with his mother?
So women who are just normal, everyday working women who are still in school or in an entry level job or still lives with their parents but are good people dont count as the "elevated class of women" to you, Im guessing.

People forget that traditionally men and women got married and left their parents and formed a home of their own. That's a much better financial situation for a young couple than paying high rent for years and years ..
That's not traditional anymore with divorce being so high and wages not being what it takes to own a home even with two incomes. More single people now and more people spending a lifetime living in apartments as a result.
Living at home, criminal record and no means of support is the problem. I would at least be getting a job or were you hoping she would overlook all the negatives and be glad to support you.
When me and my wife met, I was living at home and she had her own place. We moved in together after a year of dating and got married two months ago. Lots of women date men who live at home.

I would never have dated a guy who served time. Sorry, but that is not ok for me, and I am in my twenties. Living at home is not that big an issue as long as the guy was working and saving for his own place.
