I was curious and as an added bonus perhaps I can steal some ideas from this thread. Of course it's much more about the company than the venue, but I digress.

Mine have been fairly cliché...

Coffee shop
Bar
Coffee shop

If all goes well I should have another one this Saturday night. It looks like it's going to be dinner at a restaurant, which I'm happy with. Again, sure it's cliché, but you know that thing I said about the company and all that.

I think the last three were all drinks at a restaurant bar.

This is going back many years, and keep in mind I sometimes was friends first, or talked on the phone a lot, but my bedroom, front seat of my car, and Applebees.

Starbucks
Elmer's - coffee shop we were going to go to was actually a food cart and it was closed.
Starbucks

My first date with my late hubby was a New Year's Eve party. He asked me out by asking if I "wanted to spend New Year's with a bunch of people I didn't know." Our second date was 8 hours after the first one ended - went and saw "Deuce Bigelow, Male Gigolo".

I don't know if my ideas are worth stealing as they are pretty cliche too. There are also all form online dating so they are all public venues.

Restaurant for lunch
Starbucks for coffee
Restaurant for early dinner (this one ended up in the relationship I am in).

Now, "offline dating" (so I knew the person a while before dating, but not the last three first dates), I've had first dates that were:

A vacation weekend at the beach
Trip to and a day spent in the city
Going to a party

It's been a very very long time, but if I recall correctly:

1. Lunch at a burger shack on the beach
2. Movie night at a mutual friend's house
3. Movie theater
