Not a damn thing tonight. I bought two boxes of starfruit and persimmons from the market this morning and will be handing them out rather than candy kids can get candy next door
I used to throw fruit back at the people who gave out fruit.
Seriously, I was given a banana and an apple once as "Candy" when I was younger, and I picked out that fruit and throw it back in there dish and told them I had fruit at home, I don't have candy.
Don't be that guy. I remembered who gave out fruit, change and candy corn and never went back to there houses the following years.

Omg I would have loved a piece of fruit. Everyone gives out candy.
I have to say that my son ate the pretzels, cheese balls and fruit snacks on the way home this evening, while leaving the candy untouched.

Lol. Its just not any fruit..its a starfruit . Mainland cost for one starfruit can fetch 5-10$; its definitely a treat
I always give out juice boxes (and candy, of course). Kids usually get thirsty while out trick-or-treating, and I'm sure I'm not the only slacker parent who doesn't bother bringing drinks, so the juice boxes are always well-received.

My daughter picked one out at the store the other day, but I had no idea what it cost until I saw the receipt. It was like $5 for one, but I'm not going to say no to fruit.

When I was a kid, I convinced my parents to hand out bang snaps.... it was cool too hear the kids throwing them around the neighborhood.
