Hi,

I need an idea how to adorn the paper bag which would contain the gift for the girlfriend. I could fill it with flower petals but I don't like the idea since it would require too many flowers to fill the bag and they won't stay fresh long enough. What other ideas could you suggest?

A large red velvet ribbon. And tissue paper to cover the gift.

It is a bag, not a box. So tissue paper is not an option. I have already got the ribbon though to tie the bag handle.

I need a filling for the pag.

If you don't want to use tissue paper to fill around the gift in the bag, perhaps you could add a pretty scarf and cover the gift with it. Bonus points if you spritz the scarf with a bit of perfume.

Have you never received a gift bag before? 99% of them are filled with tissue paper.

One alternative: fawn eyelashes and puppy breath.

Every gift in a bag I've ever gotten was filled with tissue paper too.

One clever way to do the tissue paper that my cousin does, she makes the paper tissue into carnations. Like the way you used to fold and make paper into flowers back in grade-school. Then you could have a bag filled with home-made flowers that won't go bad.

Why is tissue paper not an option for your gift bag?
Every gift bag I ever received had tissue paper in it!
