On a first actual date with a bit of a build up to it then yes a few butterflies but not when your at a bar or the gym etc and just talking/flirting IMO.
The only real time I may feel slightly apprehensive/nervous is if I really really really like the girl .
Aww....that's too bad... Because I think it is so cute when a guy is obviously a little bit nervous...it is soooooooo sexy...makes me want to push him up against a wall and bite all the buttons off his shirt.

Shouldn't everybody feel a tiny bit nervous at first?
Butterflies-ish?
It's fun! Enjoy it.
I think the nervousness may be just as much due to not knowing what the person is all about, how s/he will react...whether s/he will want you back and so on. JMO.
I find it fun to give gratuitous compliments because I have zero expectations and sometimes the recipient gets an ego boost. What's not to like?
I never really interacted with beautiful women because I stood no chance with them so I left them alone. I wasn't nervous I just didn't put myself in a lose lose situation like a lot of guys do.
