My prior partner and I were 110 miles apart. The drive was usually a little over 2 hours, but could have been way more due to traffic and border issues. We saw each other just about every weekend.

While I don't regret the travelling that I did, I would not be eager to do it again.

When I met my current partner, we were about 25 miles (45-ish minutes) apart. That was pretty much my limit.

100 miles west put me deep inside a Canadian. Eventually married her.

For some reason this question has me thinking of the Tom T. Hall song "Back When Gas was Thirty Cents a Gallon".
