You women know about when this event is going to happen every month. What's the problem with you being on the ball and stocking up on these products? It's not about being ashamed about buying them it's YOUR responsibility not your boyfriends or husbands. Buy you own personal products....
Sometimes women travel away from home. Sometimes women can be surprised by their cycle starting earlier than expected. Sometimes women get the flu and their period at the same time. Sometimes women don't have the space to really "stock up". Besides, have you seriously never run out of something that you use all the time, like laundry soap or garbage can liners? It happens.
I'll buy that stuff, I don't care, I don't have any kind of male complex regarding buying this stuff. It's pretty obvious when I check out that it's not for me.
If I were rolling through the line with ED pills and products to increase the size of your manhood I can then see feeling embarrassed, tampons, not so much.

Haha, same.
For me, I wouldn't see what the big deal is. If it's really THAT big of a deal for you, then there are self-checkout lines in a lot of shopping stores now.

You've never run out of coffee? Cigarettes? Toilet paper? Something else you usually have on hand?
It happens, and the thing about this is that it's really hard to substitute just anything else. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Yeah.
Not everyone is regular and sh** happens.
Like my friend losing all her products when the pipe under her sink burst.

What about a tube Vagisil and bottle of Summers Eve?
I used to always tell myself, It's only natural, nothing to be embarrassed about. But it's still just a little TMI somehow for a stranger. It's so specific, and it probably means you're buying them right now for a reason. So I thought that, instead of buying them in a busy grocery store where everyone can see them gliding down the conveyor belt, I'd be sly and buy them in a quiet, discreet drugstore. Except, more often than not, there would be a young, male cashier there. So it's just you, him, and the one glaringly obvious product you're buying, with no other items, crowds, or distractions to lessen the awkwardness.
So, back to the grocery store. Or, as ellie mentioned, buy it in bulk online. That's another thing, you try to buy them in bulk in the store so you can cut down the times you have to go through it. Then it's like, Whoa, lady, what's with the 80-pack?!
I would like to point out that the OP was a hypothetical question.
