To women, do you prefer being called hot or beautiful? (kids, attractive)

Back when I used to talk to people more, I used the term "lovely" quite a bit. I don't know if I ever used the term "hot" much, because to me it denotes "You are turning me on" and I wouldn't feel proper conveying that sentiment to a lady unless I really knew her very well or had a special relationship with her.
The anime version of me my eldest daughter drew. (wearing a red wig).
That's awesome. I had a guy draw me (in my 20s) in a Heavy Metal movie style with skimpy battle armor - wish I still had that.

I have to chime in, as a guy, after nearly 50 years of life on this planet, it never gets old if any random woman would tell me I look hot, look cute, look handsome, etc.
Maybe it's different for pretty ladies who get hit on all day and night every time they step foot outside their homes.

I'm sure some women won't agree with me, but if a strange man tells me that I'm hot, it's not always a compliment. It can feel almost threatening, because there's a sexual connotation to that word. I don't know that guy, and that makes me feel vulnerable.

I can see how a woman might feel this way. I said up thread that tone and context has some bearing on it too.
I'm a reserved person and I would never say to a woman that I didn't know I wouldn't call her hot. I wouldn't make any comments about her physicality. One time I saw this woman at the grocery store a while back, so was probably mid to late 50's. She looked great, great outfit, nice figure, pretty face long-ish nice hair. Just radiant. I was almost going to say that she looked great, but then I just pulled it back. You never know how some people take things these days. We're living in strange times in some ways.
When in doubt keep your trap shut.
Sorta sad in a way because I'm sure a lot of women would have appreciated a nice good natured non-sexual compliment, but you got those types that might read something else into it.
In Arizona, my friend's mom took my washed clothes outside to dry on the clothesline. By the time the third one was clipped up, the first one was dry and ready to take inside.
