I got some guys who I know that sometimes go on Craigslist personal ads to get hookups from casual encounters which are ads of prostitution which you pay to have sex. Which why is it that if its a "casual encounter" that prostitution ads is allowed there which you have to pay for sex?
Yes there are prostitutes on CL. Should be no surprise.
Be advised, of course, that some of those 'prostitutes' are actually cops.
Enter at your own risk, on multiple levels.
I am glad that law enforcement is cracking down on people using the site to make a profit off sex.
I checked out a few other sections such as looking for women in the sections where you look for a real relationship and there's a few ads from prostitutes

I personally think it's a waste of tax payer dollars to target the "Johns" criminalizing them. Meanwhile the prostitutes get off with counseling playing the 'victim' pretending to be sorry for making $2000 a day.
The problem, of course, is the trafficking of underage girls and the use of pimps (which wouldn't be needed if prostitution was legalized to begin with as they could just call the cops for protection).
Two consenting adults should be allowed to do what they want with their money and their bodies.

I agree. But personally, I'd sooner visit a brothel than go on Craigslist! People have gotten robbed, beaten, and killed!

You don't think there are shady brothels?
Ultimately those selling themselves on Craigslist and Backpage are generally out of the public eye, which can't be said for the Adult Places and Gentleman clubs advertised publicly.
If they legalized it in a private sense (aka not having sting operations going after the 'johns' paying for sex with escorts on backpage, CL etc), the girls would have more security as they could just call the police if things got out of control. Actually I think it's hilarious that attempting to eliminate "Johns" is their philosophy for ending prostitution. I'd think it's more about the money they get in fines then anything.
They could focus on pimps, which are clearly abusive toward women, and underage trafficking of the pimps. Escorts of legal age wouldn't have to hide in the shadows. Hell they could even screen background checks, medical tests, etc to protect themselves from diseases if they wanted.
Well, haven't prostitutes been doing the "it's just a date" or "escort" thing for ages now?
There are always ways to do this just one inch shy of calling it prostitution and winding up in the clink.
Do the ads literally say "I will have sex with you for $x?" If not of can be hard to prove it is solicitation of this type.
Whores aren't dumb. Johns are, though. They'll go running for it even knowing there may be a pimp waiting right around the corner with a tire iron.
