Does it make any meaningful or significant difference in a relationship, if, near the beginning or right when the relationship is first getting formed, a woman is the first to say "ILY" to a man, rather than the other way around? Although I'm still looking for a new relationship atm, of the relatively few relationships I've been in so far in life and even though it didn't last, there was only one where the lady I was romantically linked with said it first...I remember feeling at the time like I was on cloud number nine, filled with pure joy, & felt very loved & cared for, and very special, to her. Anyway just some possible food for thought...any thoughts anyone might have would be deeply appreciated, thanks
Generally speaking it's best for the woman to say it first but situations do vary. If it seems like you are more in to her than she is in to you it's probably not going to end well. But hey if you're ready to say it, say it.

IMO, I don't think it really matters who goes first, as long as you truly feel that way about your SO when you say it.

Very simple..it doesn't matter who says it first because it's not about who says it first but about whoever says it REALLY means it.You say what you feel but NEVER say what you don't feel because somehow you think that you should say it?If you're always true with yourself and feelings, then it should be easy for you to be true to others. Also most people don't say 'i love you' at the beginning of a relationship anyways..usually it's somewhere between 4 months of further out.

Thanks elnina and codergirl for your helpful and valuable feedback...very interesting to know that most couples end up saying "ILY" at the 4+ month mark... (For me IME, I have found that if it did happen for me in the past or when I said it to the past female romantic interest, it usually happened during the first 1-2 months or thereabouts.)
