How long do you leave your profile on dating sites before you decide to give up? (how to, women)

It was recently suggested to me that I put my profile back on some dating sites even though I have told folks I would rather meet someone the old fashioned way. In the past year I have been on plenty of fish, ok Cupid, and Tinder but I almost never get matches or responses even though people in real life say I’m good looking. I was only on each of these sites for 2-3 months. Would you give up after that amount of time? I probably sent out 30 messages each on POF and ok Cupid.

2-3 months is nothing. 2-3 years isn't much.
I don't believe in quitting. If something is important to me, I keep trying. It took about 10 years to get a stable job in the field I wanted after grad school, and a life partner is a much bigger challenge to find than a job.

I started online dating in 2004 and I’m still doing it. I’ve also been seeing several of the same guys on dating sites during that 14 year period. No, I wasn’t on the sites continuously so I won’t assume that they were either, but they’ve obviously been using it for more than a few months.
