Was there one thing that you can attribute to finishing off your relationship with your gal?

Back in my early days of dating (1970's) things were going good with my gal for the first few months. Then I took her to see John Water's Pink Flamingos movie. When we got out in the parking lot we had a fierce fight over the film. She said she could not date anyone that liked that movie...so that was it.

Lots more where that came from, but that early breakup developed with no warning. The weird thing was she was an artist and bi-sexual. I would have thought artists and bi's were more open minded.

Do you have any last straw stories that broke your camels (girls) back?

Well, I'm a woman, so I hope this thread is open to us too.

I was going on a business trip last summer to an area that my husband and I always wanted to visit. I asked him to join me. I already had a hotel room, a rental car, even an expense account. The only thing we would need out of pocket is his flight. He said it was too expensive and elected not to join me. He ended up spending the weekend playing Pokémon Go.

And? Is he still your husband?

I'm filing next week. Don't get me wrong, this was the straw, but there was a huge load of straw on that camel's back already.

Wow. So sorry. And that's a sad story, about the trip you'd planned. Best wishes!

Maybe it might be more helpful to hear from women what the last straw was, rather than ask men what they think their woman's last straw was.... men are sometimes clueless to what was actually happening. Just a thought.

I was more often the dumped.

But one time where I ended it, the last straw was a situation where both myself and pets were injured, and the dude didn't even bother to ask how we were the next day. Anyone who knows me, especially anyone who dates me, has been in my home, and met my critters, knows that they are a huge part of my life. When I did hear from him, he was all over complaining about his day... That was a big WTF moment. Dumped him, and no regrets.

Casually announced he has a "bad temper". News to me. When can I expect to see it? How about never.

Before I started dating my current girlfriend. I had an ex who is a total b word.

She was rude to people, the final straw was when I heard one of my dogs cry out loud.

She had kicked my Pitbull!

I told her to leave and if she didn't I'd call the cops and press charges against her for animal cruelty. She left and I haven't seen her since.

Woman here too. The last straw with my ex was when I caught him joining dating groups on facebook. I tolerated his excessive porn use, his flirting, and his bad temper, but there was no way I was going to forgive him actively seeking out other women.

You could just have said he played pokemon go and that would have been more than sufficient.
