I was chatting with a girl on a dating app 6 months ago and we were going to meet up and then just stopped communicating. She agreed to meet after she got back from vacation and I just never followed up to set it up, Is it totally weird to message her now and see if she still wants to meet up? Female perspectives preferred.

Worst that can happen is she says no..... nothing ventured, nothing gained. No harm in asking.

Hmmm ... Did you make plans and then stand her up, or did you both just not make plans after she got back from vacation?

Just try it.

She'll say yes.
Or she'll say no

You can ask. As a woman, I'd never say yes. I probably just wouldn't answer.

My first thought would be that you weren't having any luck, and decided to try and "make the rounds again".

The second thought would depend on what kind of connection we had, or what I thought of your profile. Whether or not you had a dog, whether you seem like the kind of guy who would say 'yes' if I asked if we could get a dog.

I've left online dating and come back again and maybe would have responded to somebody I hadn't given a chance to before.

Just do it.

Do it. You never win the chances you don’t take.

You never know.

I'm fairly open-minded, and realize that there are a lot of reasons communication on OLD could fall off.

I actually did date someone for a couple months, after communication on one site dropped off, and we picked things up again months later on another site. No, he didn't end up being The One, but he had a shot.
