It would not happen because there are always going to be those people who want kids. There are women whose very nature is maternal and men who find that most attractive.

Forget 'it's never going to happen.' Duh. The op wants to know what would happen IF one gender were to refuse to reproduce. Just for funsies and debate/conjecture (hop in, op, and tell me if I'm off base!).

I say if it's women who refuse to reproduce and the men felt strongly that they had to have children, they would finally invent some kind of viable incubating chamber in which to bake up kids (something that we would already have if men had to go through childbearing/birth).

Sorry, I think the world will always have this

Which means they will always end up with this

It will not ever turn into something like this

I don't think humans are so special that we feel it's OH SO HORRIBLE that we just went extinct.
The world is overpopulated enough as it is right now.
I'd love for everyone to be sterile for at least 5 years, give the earth some time to breathe.

I doubt one gender will ever say, "Nah, no more reproduction" but it would be nice if more people decided not to have kids.

When I saw the heading I thought it was about people who had made a decision not to have children.

Yeah....HELLO? And the OP purposely mislead everyone with the thread title.
Not even worth the few seconds I'm spending here.

I'm exercising my right to leave.

You know, I have three kids. I'm pretty confident that they will do their part to make this a better world. So I don't feel guilty at all having had them.
