Also, traveling far to meet someone you met off tinder (or any dating app) is different from reality.

There is no amount of texting, video chat, pictures, videos, emails, etc. that can prepare you or them for when you actually meet. Their demeanor, vibe, physique, body language, responses, attidude, etc. could be completely different than what you expected. This is why most dates don't even get past the first date.
