I just survived my most recent crush that lasted the better part of a week and a half. Nobody got laid. Nobody got hurt. I'm mildly disappointed that it didn't go anywhere, but...there's always that little wistful feeling...and the sense of relief that it didn't. LOL

There's always next week.

They are. I love that out of body nutso feeling I get when I'm bitten by the love bug. Once I had a crush on someone and became the biggest expert on some difficult to learn piece of software (well for me it was difficult) all because of my infatuation with him. I was instantly blonde, learned everything possible about the subject, got through the task with flying colors, and now have it on my resume.

crushes are nightmares.

I've had a crush on the same person for 5 years but it's not happening. it takes all I have not to think about him at random. so I try to work myself to death instead.

I despize generalizations so I won't do that but I know for me they're not hard at all unless It goes somewhere and then ends.....but I also do not get attached easily....

Crushes are fun and harmless.......as long as they stay just that....crushes.

The time required for recovery from a crush is directly proportional to the length of the time the crush lasts.

I think that crushes are a lot of fun and harmless... as long as you know that it's a temporary infatuation that isn't the same as true love. A crush can turn into true love over time if the guy is as wonderful as you hope him to be. It's all a matter of keeping things in proper perspective.

I think that women make it hard on themselves because they want to think that every crush is really true romantic love but it's not. Meanwhile, the men have their crushes and treat it more like what it really is... an intense sexual attraction. So their goals are similar in terms of wanting to be a couple, but guys are overall more satisfied with just getting sex out of the hookup, and the women are left missing not being loved back by the objects of their affection.
