Well, I'm about to become a stay at home wife. My husband and I have only been married a month or so, and he has just been asked to transfer out of state by his company for a 2 year assignment. Once the 2 years is up, we'll transfer back to our hometown. Of course, I'm going with him. However, I am an attorney (a solo practitioner) and would have to take another bar exam where we're moving in order to practice law there. By the time I finish studying for this new exam, take the exam, get the results back, and build up my practice again, I'd only have one more year left before we return home. Unless I decide to get a job doing something else (what else would I do??), I'll be a stay at home wife. I have no idea how I'm going to deal. Here at home, I'm used to 60-70 hour weeks and secretly love it. I was prepared to one day be a stay at home mom, but we don't plan on starting a family for a few more years, and certainly not until we return back home and are close to family. As of now, my plan is to join the bar association where we're moving and maybe do some volunteering with the local chapter of an organization I currently work with here at home. Other than that, I'm at a loss for what I'm going to do to keep myself occupied and sane for 2 years before we can move back home. Any ideas??
