Did you marry/commit to a different person type than your dating history type?

Accident? or
On purpose?

I did but its not like I said to my self I'm going to marry a different type, it wasn't an accident nor premeditated by any means. The only thing I knew from the start was that I wasn't attracted to housewife type women. Can't say why really, my grandmother I respected a great deal, canned her garden every year, cooked cleaned, I thought the world of her but she was my grandmother.
I dated party girls, models, fun types that liked to go all the time and I dated one girl that was going through nursing school. My wife was I guess a cross between all of them with much more ambition than any of them. She didn't drink but loved the night life, worked on a cruise ship, very outgoing, had a few beauty contests under her belt but was too brainy to be satisfied with that.
I guess I somehow knew that the women I dated before her were going no where or were going in a direction I wasn't interested in for the long haul.

Clue me in Pitt, what the heck is Ken crotch? I must know.

I married 2/3s of the men I dated, so I dunno on the poll. Both personalities are represented in the movie "Sideways", minus the wine guzzling. Hilarious movie.

The guys I typically dated were less responsible and really crazy spontaneous types.....It was a blast at the time and I didn't do this intentionally but when I met my now hubby.....I knew he was the type of guy I wanted to settle down with and have a family with.

I want to know about Ken crotch, too. What is it? Is this Barbie's Ken we're talking about? The suspense is killing me.

Yes. My norm was blonde hair, blue eyes, average height, and someone shy and reserved.

Then about 3 and 1/2 years ago I went to buy a car and fell in love with the sales guy. He is about 4 yrs younger than me, 6' 4" and about 230 lbs, black hair and green eyes. Also very arrogant and controlling. I love him very much but regret ever meeting him right now.

Stay with what you're used to is my new motto.

I always went out with the dark-haired moody types, but redeemed myself by marrying a blonde-haired, blue-eyed non-moody cheerful type!

My husband and I are complete opposites. It wasn't an issue early on, but it's an issue now.
