OK so I looked thru the FAQ & I read this thread......if someone requests me to be a friend & I accept, does that automatically reciprocate the gesture? Or do I now have to send then a friend request in return? I can only handle so much of this hi-tech b.s. before I short-circuit out!!

OK - that shouldn't sound catty like it does.................

No, once you've been friended and accepted you're done. You can send notes or not. I don't think anyone has expectations...

My friends here at City-Data either liked something I had to say..wait, no, actually none of those people were my friends...

No, they all either live in Florida, or want to move here from somewhere else. So I guess they figure they have a built in sounding board and question answerer.
