You know, come to think of it, I went to the Veterans' Day program at my son's elementary school today.
When I was there, I saw a woman whose son is in Cub Scouts with my son. I'll have you know that she walked right up to me and said, "Hey, how was the campout this weekend?"
I said, "Oh, it was fun. But it was kind of cold."
And she laughed and, get this, touched my arm! What should I have done? Was she just making conversation, or did she really want me? I thought I should test matters by sticking my tongue in her ear, but decided that wouldn't be prudent to do that in the auditorium with her husband standing right there with the video camera.
Now if your barrista had said, "Why, how would you like a little of Dr. Mitch's Magical Throat Elixir, in the new, patented applicator?" then you might have reason to worry.
