42........dude you're a still a young cat.

Enjoy yourself. Do something really nice for yourself ,something you would never do.

I'll be doing this for myself. I am going to by a really nice bottle of cologne. Although I buy cologne often, this time around I am going to spend more than normal for the bottle.....I can't wait!

I've never been one to celebrate my birthday, and it's been that way since my 20's. In my early 30's, I worked with some women that liked to take a coworker out for a birthday lunch or dinner, but I hated those affairs. I had not interest in chipping in for the event, nor have them celebrate my birthday. And I'm not a drinker, so I didn't want to get stuck with paying for my share of the drinks that I wasn't drinking.

And I ignored my birthdays for so well and for so long that there was a period of time about6-10 years ago when I had no idea of exactly how old I was. It was great.

I refused to be defined by my age. I am not a number!!

Well thank you soooooo vey much for your wishes. I have to admit I had a wonderful birthday yesterday. It all started with my 2 year old waking me at the crack of dawn (9 AM on a sunday is too early for me), coming to lay down with me and holding my face with her little hands and saying "happy pithday daddy". It was awesome. Then my son came in, gave me a kiss, wished me a happy one and he made waffles for breakfast. He knows I like low sugar maple syrup so he emptied out half a container and smothered them with butter. They were edible to a certain extent but his gesture had me and I ate it all with joy. The wife baked a cake with 42 candles, I lighted up the ones on the outside first (big mistake) so when I was working my way for the ones on the inner side of the cakes, the ones I had lit were half way melted so I said what the hell and they sang me happy birthaday. It felt so good, I wasn't depressed for the first time in probably 19 years. Then the wife proceeded to make dinner (one of my favorites), carne asada tacos with yellow rice and mexican style beans. It was so wonderful. She got me 4 different types of colognes (yes Ron. I am a cologne guy also LOL). I got a new North Face jacket and some other goodies.
Again thanks everyone for your wishes and let's keep on postin'.
