My cousin fell in love with people she met online from other countries twice. I think this is insane. She never had any boyfriend in reality life. And she tend to believe people she met online.
To fall in love without meeting is pretty odd....to find interest in someone in another country seems kind of romantic to me though. Of course, it would be hard to pursue that interest & meet in real life. Then if you really fall in love once you meet, there's the issue of deciding where to live if you want to be together...
Seems like a pain...but dating locally isn't always that rewarding. Maybe you do have to travel across the planet for true love.
I'm awfully cheesey lately...
My first husband is from Honduras. I did not know Spanish, he did not know English. We got along fine until he learned English. We did not meet on the net.
i think if there is one thing an american cant stand, its another american. hence transatlantic dating. looking at a jerk across the room is kind of fun, looking at one in the mirror is unbearable.
I would find a long distance relationship in the U.S. hard so I can't imagine an international relationship without meeting the person, spending time with them, etc.
It's one thing if I meet a woman and she is a citizen of another country and she has to go back and we pursue our relationship online or write letters to one another...whatever.
Whatever makes someone happy and doesn't hurt me....go ahead.
My husband used to come sing under my window at night. I found out later his friends were stealing apples while he sang. They were just little green junk apples.
