No need for gross photos of butts & boobs hanging out....really now.... This just furthers the stereotype that women with curvy body shapes are trashy, not true or fair.

Nothing gross or trashy about any of those photos. All PG-13. Just wanted to give examples of what "curvy" women look like. Wanted to make sure there is no mistake about what a curvy woman looks like.

Many women mistakenly use the term "curvy" to describe fat/overweight women. They say "Im curvy", "Im voluptuous" or something similar when they should really say "In fat", "I cant run around the block" or something similar.

I completely agree, and the majority of those women have had so much plastic surgery its not even funny.

NATURAL CURVES... perhaps I should change the subject.

Orangeapple, you mentioned weight/height proportions. I know for myself, if I fall under a size 10/12 I look like I'm anorexic and sick! My bones stick out, and its gross... that size typically lands me around 145-160lbs. I look my absolutely best at about a size 14 165lbs. That's in good flesh, weight, and muscle tone.

Marilyn Monroe by today's sizes would have been about a size 14 which is 34" in men's sizing.

Ok I am going to take a stab in the dark and assume you were talking to a chick online and you asked her what she looked like which she then replied "curvy".

When an online person says she is curvy she means..

Now a woman whom is actually curvy..

Your right. Clothes/fashion style does make them look HOT, but still. What makes these women "curvy" is the fact that none of them can sand to lose some weight.

WOMEN, do not call yourself curvy if you can stand to lose some poundage. If you look like the women I posted, you are curvy, if you are bigger or if you can stand to lose some weight, just call yourself "bigger than normal" or "not quite a BBW".

I'd think they were trying to put a spin on being overweight.

OMG!! Stacey Dash is a beautiful curvy woman. Can you believe that she's over 40 years old in that pic? Ive seen her in person recently and she needs NO airbrushing in her photos.

Another term women mistakenly use is "VOLUPTUOUS" which really is the same as "curvy". Voluptuous is a word they use to describe themselves when they know dam n well they should be saying "fat"/"Overweight".

Voluptuous and Curvy are exactly the same.

Uhhh guys, I'm a female... NOT A GUY!

Nito... that's OBVIOUSLY not curvy, the first one. That one is a no brainer.

To me, many of the pictures posted (other than that ONE), show to me Athletic & Toned women, not curvy.

When I think of curvy I think of Marilyn Monroe, Beyonce, women with some softness (not fat, but not washboard) to them.
