What if the question is turned around.

How important should your voice be to others?

It just goes without saying, doesn't it... I don't think my voice gives me problems - it's feminine and I have an accent. While some may find the accent annoying, most appear to find it endearing. The only problem is the maddening and tired questions about the origin of the accent pop up almost immediately most of the time.

I've talked to guys on the phone and their voices turned me off a bit. I probably wouldn't write them off based on that alone (unless it was really bad), but the sound of them speaking wasn't working in their favor. I'm also annoyed by people who talk too loudly on the phone.

If a guy has a sexy voice, it is a big plus to me. Maybe it's because I am really into music. It's hard to describe what makes a nice male voice....It doesn't have to be super deep (that can be weird), but just a certain tone and way of talking.

I admit, if I talk to a guy on the phone and he has a nice voice, it makes me anticipate any future date a lot more.
I agree with you. A man with a very, sexy voice is a major turn on.

Imagine you are in a romantic relationship with someone with annoying voice. Time has passed, one day you're tired but you agreed to spend time together. Suddenly, the voice starts drilling your head...

Or what about having intimacy with the voice...?

Oh, yeah! I'm not attracted generally to Asian males, but even he were to be God-looking I can't get past the voice... I just can't! The sound and intonation of Chinese (and other) languages drive me NUTS!

Very. Voices aren't just an aesthetic matter, you know. They can make you sound authoritative or petulant and whiny. When I give a speech or present, I am very careful about how I modulate my voice.

I can't stand whiny voices..they drive me nuts. I prefer deaper voices but it's not the most important trait to me. I couldn't be with a guy that sounded like a woman though..so i guess it's semi important..

I would love for Fran Drescher to scream my name during sex with her "Nanny" voice.
