I think what OP meant if you have to choose from two men to date that may potential lead to marriage
1) Good common sense, an engineer job, funny and fun, normal built
vs
2) Good common sense, a blue collar job, funny and fun, normal built
It's really not that easy, I know blue collar workers who make 6 figures, and their retirement is unbelievable. That's why I think it is always best to take people on a case by case basis, and not automatically rule them out for things that may not be important. But to each their own.

Mainly in big cities. Where I am, firemen make 6 figures with overtime.

Honestly? No. I have done it and it simply didnt work out. Nothing against those who dont have a degree, but I have found that they usually have some sort of a sad complex about it.
