I'm aware that there isn't that much dating in college especially during freshman year, but rather casual encounters. I am a virgin because I've never really had time or interest in that stuff during high school, but college is a whole new world, and I want to change. I am not the sexiest guy alive, but I am tall and decent looking, so how will I fair?
Dating doesn't occur too often in college. It isn't just freshman year. It's for your entire experience.
Hooking up is low-quality if you ask me. What ever happened to dating? At least get to know someone a few times prior to having sex or foreplay.
But the reason I've heard so many people hook up is because people don't want attachment of any sort with the person, it is purely physical. Sort of like how animals do it.

lol ........ don't forget to acknowledge the disadvantages to hooking up. Some people don't like being used, so make sure your partner has the same intent as you, "hit it, then go separate ways". STDs is another precaution.

there is no time for dating in college, between the point of going to college and drinking than sleeping..just no time for dating....i never dated anyone in college but it was the 4 best years of my life so far...i've been out for 8 months now but the dating hasn't started...still in the hook up mode..its working out great
Some women have the same intent though. That's what is so shocking these days.
I've always been on the opposite spectrum of keeping people at a distance until they can demonstrate dating capability. And so far I've never met anyone like that ha ha!
