ScienceDaily (Aug. 10, 2009) — If you are a woman who dines with a man, chances are you choose food with fewer calories than if you dine with a woman. That is one of the findings in a study conducted by researchers at McMaster University
When my SO and I dine out, servers often mix up our meals, because he'll generally order the most light, plain, simple thing, whereas I've got the hearty plate, i.e. he has the "girl" dish, and I have the "guy" dish.
It's mostly because he's very, very picky. So he'll generally go with simple salads that are unlikely to be messed up. Because I cook simply at home, I generally use my time dining out to go more elaborate than I would at home...rich sauces I won't likely make, etc.
Not me. I eat very healthily at home...I dine out rarely, so when I do, I don't feel bad about ordering freely. Being headcasey about food never looks very attractive.
I don't care what I eat, given the amount of time I spend gymming
