Move back to San Francisco then. If getting married means a lot to you, then you may have to move to where the kind of men you want to marry would live. Don't put up with someone who tries to make you feel bad about yourself, there's no reason to put up with that.

Actually, I find the pickins to be really great at that age. Just be prepared to relocate - and learn to enjoy a new part of the country. Forget the dating sites, though - ick. Just find some activity you're interested in and join that kind of a forum - books, sailing, gardening, hunting, whatever you like to do -- you're already stacking the deck in your favor finding someone with at least one shared interest.

Then make friends. Just friends. Don't forget the 6 degrees of separation. And DO NOT SETTLE. (but compromise is good)

Well, as predicted, he called me saying he was oh so sick and too sick to go find a phone. Apparently the phone company service was knocked out (yeah, right), he lost his phone (yeah, right) and he was too sick to go anywhere to call. Of course, he made it a point to tell me he isn't sick with h1n1 (the flu I live in fear of), rather the other flu. He is sooooooooooo predictable and it's so old.

You can do better than this. He is way too predictable and pretty transparent.
I think you deserve to be treated better.
