I'm wondering what keeps you from thinking of them as sex objects, do you not find them attractive? Is that why you are able to keep that separation like you do with male friends?
I only have one male friend that I met when we worked together. We had a very short lived romance about 10 years ago, but since then it's just grown more and more in to a friendship that will likely last forever. Maybe I'm curious whether he thinks about me that way, because I never think about him that way now.
I think where he's going with this is that men think sexually about almost all women, even if it's just to think "Geez, I don't think I could.....".
It doesn't mean men are incapable of seeing women on MULTIPLE levels simultaneously. Just that there IS that one level and a lot of men can't help but think on that level about most women at least once...
I don't believe it's possible for a man to see an attractive woman and not think of her in a sexual manner (even if it's just for a fleeting moment). As long as they don't disrespect her, they can think it all they want. A confident, attractive woman will know these mannerisms are to be expected and can handle it with no problem.
You shouldn't see attractive women as sex objects?
I say why not?
While men on the outside just see an attractive woman - a potential sex object - there's often a guy in a relationship with her who is fed up with her s**t.
Of course, they don't have to be attractive for this to happen - it depends on his cost of leaving - but this is far more prevelent in the "sex object" end of the spectrum.
Of course we are not talking about relatives. However, in some states, that's perfectly acceptable.
