So olive skinned italians are not white?

If it is their natural skin color, than no they are not White. Most Italians are not naturally dark skin, many of them get fake orange tans. When you see a dark skin Guidette or Guido, 9 times out of 10 that is not their natural skin color. Italians have an obsession with tanning because many of them are ashamed of their pale skin.

The "once you go black, we don't want you back" philosophy is pure racist/bigotry. I seen comments from black men and women say they wouldn't date a bw or bm who had been with a white woman or white man too. This type of thinking is crazy to me. I'm a black male and I don't care what race/ethnicity of man a woman dated in the past.

Some Italians do not consider themselves to be white. I dated a man from Sicily and he always stated that he was Italian and Italian only.

I seen comments from Italians who refused to call themselves white. I think part of the reason why the Italians became white in America is the white elite feared that the white population was becoming a minority. Since Italians and other Southern Europeans were migrating to America in huge numbers, they decided to make them socially white. This might happen to Mexicans.
