I can't get into younger guys so I wouldn't know but I'd imagine the same things men look for in younger women. I don't know, don't quote me, but I'd be afraid standing next to a younger man would just make me look older b'c that's what it looks like to me when I see an older man with a younger woman--he looks older. No thanks.
I married a man 11.5 years younger than me three years ago. When I was dating, I never sought out younger men. They seemed to be attracted to me. Prior to meeting my husband, I decided that I was going to go out with any man who asked (within reason - no drunks, druggies, married men etc). I got a lot of attention from younger guys and I looked at their maturity leve as well as our compatibility when deciding if I wanted to go beyond an initial date...
The same thing we look for from men in general. A man treat us with respect, have his own income, compatiblity. And since he's younger: maturity. (actually that isn't age specific, either)
Thank you!
All of this stuff about "recapturing youth?" Total malarkey.
In fact, I have to say that as I don't approach men, it's the younger men approaching me. They tend to think I'm younger than I am. And not for nothing, most men my age and older just can't keep up with me!
One's 40s are a pivotal decade: People either look and feel good or they fall apart and start to look and feel lousy. While good genes help (thanks Mom and Dad), it's mostly about what kind of lifestyle you've lived up until this point. If you've been careful about your weight, been active, and haven't been smoking or otherwise abusing your body, chances are you're going to look and feel pretty good. That's going to project youth and energy--and attract men who are younger.

But I don't like attracting younger men. I think they think I'm younger than I am and I'm afraid once they find out my age they'll shreek like little miss muffet and run so best to keep away. Besides, I like the look of men (in shape) my age. I have one who's as fit and active as he was in his 20s, no lie.

Ha ha, you never know. Last December I dated a few times this nice Asian guy, and I am black. I note our races because neither of us had ever dated anyone of the other's race before, which I think led us to do a poor job of estimating each other's age. We each wrongly guessed that the other one is about 30. Well three dates later, the truth came out: I was 39 and he was 24!! We went out one more time after that.
To tell you the truth I think we were both freaked out at the age gap.
