I caught a bus for the first time in a long time tonight. Since I'm tall I sat right at the back where the leg room is the greatest.
This woman probably 40-50 gets on at one of the stops into the journey.....she looks at me then goes to choose somewhere to sit.
Bear in mind the bus was half empty and plenty of seat choices.
So she proceeds to come right to the back of the bus and sits about one foot from me. It was a long seat that extended the width of the bus, she doesn't sit at the other end she sits right next to me.

Had never seen this woman before in my life. The surprising thing is, she was very well presented and didn't look at all like a psycho, besides the neighbourhood of the destination of the bus is pretty high class.

I didn't talk to her, as was enjoying listening to music and playing with my phone. Do you think she was making an advance at me, or am I reading too much into it?

I don't know how old you are. If you somewhere between 10 and 15 years old, I'd say you are reading too much into this. If you're older I'd say maybe she spotted your phone and was hoping you would share some of the music you were playing with her. Or who know, maybe she was going to bum a ciarette and chickened out...

It does strike me as being a little strange. but perhaps she was feeling a little down or sad and just wanted the comfort of being close to someone.Eg,there was one day when I had one too much crappy experience from the ''friendly'' locals here that I felt ecstatic when the first few people I saw in church were a group from Africa. I just was so glad to set eyes on someone who didn't look like them! Maybe she was in one of those situations.

Nite Ryder, I am a bus rookie, have hardly caught one since my school days. Lets not be silly now. I don't know "bus etiquette".

I think it might have been a safety thing!

Maybe you looked like someone who she felt comfortable or safe being close to.
I would take it as a compliment of trust if she didn't do anything other than sit by you and didn't bother you.

She had every intention of "doing you" right there on the bus. But alas. Your legs were too long!
